Sporting It – Palladium blanc Hi Boots
Photos for Palladium Blanc Hi Boots taken by Yannick Khong and retouched by me
I couldn’t wait to style up my new Palladium Blanc Hi boots when I received them in the mail! These shoes are so comfortable yet unbelievably sturdy at the same time. When I know I’ll be up on my feet all day, these are definitely my go-to kicks. We owe the quality of the Palladium sole to the years of experience this company has in manufacturing rubber tires for the aviation industry back in the 20s. This line of boots can be described as classic, modern and made for the city life. It’s a shame I only have one pair – I’m craving another from the Dip dyed canvas collection!
To balance out my monochrome white on white boots, I decided to add some contrast to the look with this black and white patterned track jacket from ZARA. As we are well into the summer season here in Montreal, I’ve been staying quite active these days and I like to reflect that in my style. There is nothing cooler than being sporty with a fashionable flair, which is why I’ve been loving trends such as the snapback, loose fit tees and fluorescent Nike Free Runs.
In theme with my new Palladium Blanc Hi boots and track jacket, I finished the look with a Wimbledon vintage tennis skirt (thanks Cara). Tennis is my ALL TIME favourite sport and Wimbledon 2013 was epiiiiic. Andy Murray made history being the first male Brit to claim the title as the Wimbledon champion since Fred Perry in 1936. Lacoste won in 1928, Fred Perry in 1936…can we expect a preppy fashion label to name itself after Murray anytime soon?
