When I’m looking to make a statement, I can always rely on a patterned top to create some interest in my outfit. I particularly enjoy this Mosaic top by Jacob because of the white, red and blue colour combination. It might be a nice option for the 4th of July…that is, if I were an American!

Patterned tops are easy to style because they simply require a couple of basics to tie the look together. It’s usually fool proof to opt for a basic pant or skirt that is of one of the colors contained in your multi-coloured top.  I chose the subtle grey in my mosaic shirt and coordinated that with my medium grey high-waisted pants.

I previously coordinated this top with white dress shorts for a slightly brighter look.

As for shoes, this was a no-brainer for me! I happened to have these matching high-heel sandals from last season by Libertine for Aldo Rise. How convenient! This might sound a bit crazy, but the perfect day for a fashionista begins when she leaves the house with a perfectly coordinated outfit, complete with neatly done hair, nails and makeup!

I had a lot of fun scouting cool areas around the city to serve as interesting backdrops in my outfit posts.  These photos exhibit the beautiful architecture to be found in Montreal.  Hope you enjoyed.

Sabrina, I was so lucky to randomly have these shoes lying around to go with my new top. I guess it’s just a popular colour combination amongst designers. And thanks for the hair compliment 🙂
