There is no better way to embrace the summer than with vibrant colours. I’m loving my multi-coloured high heels by Aldo Rise X Preen. I got them on sale at the end of last season and now I finally get to rock them! As I was leaving my house to meet up with fellow Montreal blogger Jessica of Westmount Fashionista, I realized that I might be just a little overdressed. One might think that to fix such a problem you should take an item or two off, or maybe change what you’re wearing entirely. I fixed my little issue by throwing on this casual snapback from H&M, which really helped to tone things down a notch, and not to mention add a little charm to the look. Fashion week and fancy balls are for uptight outfits but our city streets welcome urban chic!

Psssst! If you have not yet voted for me for the Twin-Set Canada bloggers contest, please do so that I can be on my way to Milan fashion week! You can vote once every 24 hours.

Thanks to this post I know what a snapback is. :) And I am obsessed with getting one, every since I saw that Hip and Bone hat on you. Love the crop top.

Haha! I love learning specific terms in fashion. If you want to geek out even more, you can also refer to these as “flat peak caps.” What’s in right now are the ones with slightly shorter peaks. They’re being sold in the mens section of Urban Outfitters in cool tropical flora patterns if you’re interested.

I really should make a post on hats…

Your shoes are really cute! Are they from a former collaboration with Aldo and Preen?

Actually, yes! Preen collaborated with Aldo last summer. Preen is one of my favourite designer brands so I was so happy to see a design by them that I could actually afford with my student budget. This season they had another collab and you can see the designs in this article: http://www.flare.com/fashion/shoes/get-preens-runway-look-with-aldo-rise/
I don’t have any neutral-coloured pumps so I’m considering the Pravda! I love the texture on them.
