Move On

Last Warm Days

Notice how our tastes are constantly readjusting with the climate  – a drop in temperature calls for hearty stews, moodier music and earthy color palettes. Steel blue, gold-yellow, eggplant, magenta and sangria are the shades that dominate the above shot. Fashion favors the fall season for several reasons. Aside from interesting color schemes and the possibility of layering items, it is not unheard of during the not-too-cold yet not-too-hot Autumn weather to show some leg, sport beachy sunnies or wear socks with sandals. Combining this sort of crossover styling with multiple textures is sure to give an outfit more dimension than possible during the summer or winter months.

With all the things on my mind lately, the last thing I want to be worrying about is my purse handle falling off of my shoulder, tripping on a crack in the road while wearing heels or some wind catching the back of my skirt. Comfort is king in these transitional months, and I’ll be saving my less practical items for warmer weather and less hectic days. In the meantime, I’m perfectly content being boyish.
