With the help of social media, Stromae announced to his fans that he would be performing a little “stunt” in Montreal today at 12:30 PM at Place des Arts. I rushed to the scene this afternoon and managed to get these pretty awesome shots* of the Belgian artist. His performance of his 2 hits “Formidable” and “Papaoutai” on his new album Racine Carrée was exceptional.
Being the fashion-obsessed person that I am, I could tell that this hard-working musician puts an equal amount of effort into his style and overall image. It’s not the first time Stromae is seen in this sick geometric polo, he was also wearing it here and here. Belgian stylist Coralie Barbier is the one responsible for Stromae’s impeccable style. I’m thinking that she gets her inspiration from the likes of high-end fashion labels such as Kenzo Paris and Josh Goot. These brands really understand the importance of proportions and color combinations in their patterns. It’s modern, it’s clean, it’s eccentric and it’s exactly how I love to dress (stay tuned for my next outfit post )! Did you get to see Stromae perform today? If you missed it I shall be posting my video of his performance on YouTube shortly! Have a fashionable weekend.
