Collaboration: Masabni Pop-Up Shop

masabni popup shop

In collaboration with Montreal designer Jennifer Masabni, Susan and I designed a window display for a pop-up shop! Masabni is being sold in this temporary location on the corner of Sherbrooke and Mackay from June 28th to July 7th.  This fashion line is for a stylish lady that looks for quality, versatility and class. As many items in the new collection are neutral-coloured, we decided to decorate the display with geometric shapes in black and white. These patterns are very true to our personal style – we love contrast, clean lines and symmetry! We hung concentric triangles and diamonds from the ceiling for an eye-catching window display.

We spent a good part of the day cutting, painting and hanging these geometric shapes! Above is Jennifer hard at work.

The display shown above is nearly complete! We just need a few accessories to complete the look.  We were proud to see that the unfinished display was already turning many heads. CONTINUE READING

Rough and Tough with Buzz Jeans

Buzz Jeans - Easy Going Chick

Photographer: Yannick Khong
Stylists: Snob Affair Team – Daura and Susan
Make-up Artist: Bellie Nguyen
Model: Esthel Racine

After a brutally long and difficult final examination session, I have finally mustered up the time to present you with a second look that we styled from a unique selection at Buzz Jeans.  Here`s what our model Esthel is wearing:

  • Sleeveless Graphic tank by Something Else with unique art by Julie Verhoeven which adds some complexity to an otherwise typical ensemble
  • Patent wedge sneakers by Jeffrey Campbell discreetly give some generous height
  • Cozy cut-off jean short shorts by One Teaspoon
  • The charm of a flat-beak cap ties the whole look together

I think that every fashionista needs to tone things down once in awhile with a laid-back look like this.  There`s nothing like an outfit that ranks highly in both the comfort and style department!

Last September, Susan and I had the opportunity of conducting an editorial fashion shoot in collaboration with Buzz Jeans.  we present you with one of three fabulous looks that we were able to pull together from the large selection of styles available at this fine local fashion boutique!

Buzz Jeans carefully curates their pieces and is known for offering unique labels that are not often found at other Montreal retailers.  Such labels include Something Else and Blessed are the Meek.  For those loyal designer shoppers, this Montreal boutique also offers many pieces by household names such as 7 for all Mankind, J Crew, Alexander Wang and Elizabeth and James.  If you would like to visit the store, there are two locations – Saint Viateur (corner Parc Avenue) and Monkland Avenue.

Special thanks to my boyfriend Alexi for tagging along and helping us out! I know you were dying the entire time and just wanted to eat, haha.

I look forward to displaying the rest of our stylings.  Thanks for the read!
