Collaboration: Masabni Pop-Up Shop

masabni popup shop

In collaboration with Montreal designer Jennifer Masabni, Susan and I designed a window display for a pop-up shop! Masabni is being sold in this temporary location on the corner of Sherbrooke and Mackay from June 28th to July 7th.  This fashion line is for a stylish lady that looks for quality, versatility and class. As many items in the new collection are neutral-coloured, we decided to decorate the display with geometric shapes in black and white. These patterns are very true to our personal style – we love contrast, clean lines and symmetry! We hung concentric triangles and diamonds from the ceiling for an eye-catching window display.

We spent a good part of the day cutting, painting and hanging these geometric shapes! Above is Jennifer hard at work.

The display shown above is nearly complete! We just need a few accessories to complete the look.  We were proud to see that the unfinished display was already turning many heads.

Twin-Set Teaser: Window Shopping

window shopping
This shot of me by Yannick Khong is entitled Window Shopping and gives off the impression that I am a lifeless mannequin in a store display window. I love it because it shows off the beautiful paisley-like detail in my new shirt by Twin-Set, and the reflection of the street adds even more interest to the shot.

Twin Set is holding an exciting photo contest for fashion bloggers, and this photo serves as a teaser for my official entry. Stay tuned to see my contest entry and vote for me if you enjoy this blog!

A Shoutout to Our Readers

Fashion is my passion, but I am school’s bitch.

I’ve been completely out of the loop with blogging, not to mention the entire fashion industry as a whole. Exams are over and I can finally breathe again. That being said, I’d like to take this chance to thank our returning visitors, despite the infrequent posting (not to mention our sluggish site loading!). Due to some healthy holiday spirit and an extremely inspirational business blog, I’ve taken a liking to writing for SA once again.

I’m working towards turning this website into a community. It’s time to be generous with the work I put out. As I have earned the opportunity to speak to a wide audience, I have gained a responsibility to not waste anyone’s time, including my own. This blog is a huge learning process for me, which is the main reason why it is rewarding. I would like you all to experience a learning process of your own. I’ll be doing research on what you want to know, what may inspire you and do my best to output only the best.

Best wishes and a great new year to all!
