Life in Jacob

outfit post, OOTD, Jacob Canada, lace detail camisole, blue and burgundy, symmetrical outfit, montreal fashion blogger

Here’s a quick outfit shot from this summer on my way to the grocery store. Here I’m wearing a lace-detail camisole by Jacob in dark blue (similar here). I’m liking how the horizontal lines of the shirt are in theme with the cut-outs on my leather booties! This outfit is about clean lines and symmetry, though things are kept interesting thanks to the burgundy-blue color combination and lace detail in my shirt. My favorite oufits are the ones that are hassle-free yet stylish. Smile

Katherine II

fashion photography - Katherine

Photography of Katherine II by Daura Lee

Above is a portrait of my long time friend Katherine.  I haven’t much to say about this one other than the fact that she pulls off the “delicate young lady” very well. Sultry eyes and naturally disorderly waves are a part of Kath’s charm.  What better way to bring out these feminine characteristics than with a floral blouse?

As I’m not much of a fan of greenery in a photograph, I decided to completely remove natural colours from the background and give the center stage to more cold colours and accentuated highlights.  What I enjoy about this photo is that it displays Katherine’s natural beauty in a more surreal environment.

On another note, the 13th annual Festival de Mode et Design de Montréal (Fashion and Design Festival) is on its way! I’m looking forward to a program organized and coordinated by fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac himself. The Montreal fashion community is ecstatic about his new position as honorary chairman for FDF and the show will no doubt prove to be impressive. If you’re in Montreal, be sure to come by for the runway shows and events on McGill College from July 31st to August 3rd.  I’m personally looking forward to “Fantomes” by JC de Castelbajac, the high-heel race and the unveiling of the Jacob “35 ans de chic” anniversary dress.  You may view the entire Fashion and Design Festival schedule online.

Have a good week!
